Christmas in the Air

Chad and I went to Robert Lee for Thanksgiving and spent a couple of days with them. We got back late Thursday night so that I could get up at the crack of dawn to go buy a Christmas tree. I got up with all the other idiots in the world and went shopping on black Friday. I got home at 6:15am with nothing to show for my shopping experience. I went to 3 different stores and didn't buy a thing. Grant it I found things I could have bought but by the time I got in line with my arms full I was going to be just in line for at least an hour or more. I quickly realized I'm ok with spending a few dollars more and not stand in line for an hour. I put my stuff down and left. I only wanted to buy a Christmas tree.....that's really all I wanted.
I got home and went right back to sleep. Chad and I went to Lowes to find a tree. We got it home plugged it and it didn't work. The Longhorn game was on so I took it back and got anoher one.....same thing! It didn't work either. At this point, I decided we weren't going to get a tree. I ran by and looked at Target....no tree......went to Home Depot....found a TREE!!!!! I bought it and was a little nervous about plugging it in. Surprise.....it actually worked.
We went to see the Mehringer's and got home about 11pm. I started putting up the tree then and decorating the house with what little Christmas decorations we have. Thanks to the Beal's we have a new Christmas decoration!

We have a good break. Chad actually took off all week. It has been nice to sleep late, take naps, do nothing, watch TV, and hang out with family! 4 more weeks till Christmas. But it is getting closer. It's time to listen to Christmas music, watch Christmas movies, wear coats, and cuddle. This is my favorite time of the year!!!!!

I wish we could have been there to visit with you guys this Thanksgiving. I'm a little jealous about the snow (if it's going to be cold it should be snowing too). Talk to you soon!

You would just set your stuff down and leave. Unbelievable. I am a ltitle surprised you didn't wait until you got to the very front of the line and say..."ummm...nevermind!" DORK
